Biking to Hoa Lu-Tam Coc and Cuc Phuong National Park

Discover the northern Vietnam, in this trip to visit the hidden charm of the Red River Delta. Along the way we will encounter pastoral landscapes and sweeping panoramas as rural population carry out the business of farming rice paddies. We visit the historical area of Hoa Lu, the elaborate karsts limestone system of Thung Nang, and the charming and mysterious Cuc Phuong National Park. This trip is a great combination between cycling, sightseeing, and trekking.


Day 1 Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc – Cuc Phuong (L, D)
7:30 AM. Depart Hanoi for Hoa Lu by Hanoi Bike Tour car. The drive takes approximately 3 hours. Once we reach Tam coc also known as Halong bay on land, we take a 1,5hour rowing bamboo boat trip in Ngo Dong River. Disembark; we cycle to Bich Dong (Jade Pagoda) about 3 kilometers from the tourist wharfs. After visiting the Pagoda, we bike back to Tam Coc for a Buffet Lunch. From here, we start cycling to the ancient capital Hoa Lu and visit the Temple of King Dinh and King Le. Then, we head to Cuc Phuong National Park by car, dinner, and overnight at the Park’s Hotel.

Day 2 Cuc Phuong - Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, we take a short distance bike to the Endangered Primate Rescue center and the Turtle conservation center. If you go with kids, these are very good place for them to study about nature preservation. We continue cycling about 2 hours through the National Park and make a couple of stops to visit Cave of Ancient Men, and take a walk before heading back to Hanoi by car.
